Photographing Hôtel Le Pigonnet in Aix-en-Provence was one of the most rewarding moments of my journey through Provence. As a luxury hotel photographer, I’m always drawn to properties that tell a story beyond the surface — and Le Pigonnet offered exactly that. Just minutes from the city centre, this 18th-century villa — part of the Small Luxury Hotels collection — blends timeless architecture with the soft beauty of its Provençal gardens.

From the moment I arrived, I knew this shoot would be different. There’s a natural calm that surrounds the hotel — the kind that shapes how you approach each frame. I spent the early hours chasing the morning light as it filtered through the garden’s old trees, capturing quiet corners where texture, shadow, and scent created something truly cinematic. Indoors, the refined interiors offered a warm contrast — rich in detail, yet never overdone. Every space felt curated for atmosphere.
